Teresa is a Grand Prix rider and Trainer and a USDF Silver and Bronze medalist who started her riding career almost thirty years ago in Eagle, Idaho.  Valenti started as an Eventer on her pony Snickerdoodle.  After a few years of competing at horse trials around the Northwest she decided to focus exclusively on Dressage.  She purchased her first Dressage horse, Jamboree.  Jamboree even went to college with Teresa in Portland, OR.

Teresa returned to Eagle, Idaho where she connected with Megan Pugh and started furthering her Dressage education in clinics with Carrie Harnden.  Teresa started her young horse, Cash, in Harnden’s program and took him from being backed to Second Level Northwest Champion.

At this time Harnden took Teresa under her wing.  Teresa started hauling to California to train with Carrie in her program under Lilo Fore.  Harnden is a longtime student of Lilo Fore's and is also greatly influenced by Conrad Schumacher, and Klas Balkenhal.  This apprenticeship with Harnden allowed  Teresa to purchase Harnden’s Grand Prix horse Wenza to learn the FEI levels.  Unfortunately, Wenza’s career ended when Teresa was just 0.5% away from getting her USDF Gold medal, but Teresa is detirmined to finish her Gold soon.

Teresa is currently starting her 3 year old Danish mare, Lydia. She has started Lydia following classical dressage principals and hopes to qualify for Regional and National Championships as well as FEI young horse championships in Chicago.

In addition to being a Dressage trainer, Teresa is a military wife to her husband, Nate, and mother to their two children, Marcus, and Maria.
